Siblings Walker and Nan reunite with childhood friend Pip in a loft designed by their architect fathers. A cryptic journal and a surprising will lead them to ask what their parents were like before they became parents.
The play turns an inheritance question into a two-generation mystery. Its structure shifts between family members and eras, asking what children can know about the people who came before them.
The Broadway cast and director
François Arnaud plays Pip and Theo, David Corenswet plays Walker and Ned, and Yvonne Strahovski plays Nan and Lina. The role pairings connect the play’s two generations.
Richard Greenberg wrote the play, and Anna D. Shapiro directs the Broadway revival. The announced creative team also includes scenic designer Todd Rosenthal, costume designer Arianne Phillips, and lighting designer Donald Holder.
