The theatre and its location

The Hayes Theater is at 240 West 44th Street in Manhattan’s Theatre District. It is the home of The Fantasticks’ first Broadway production. Check your ticket for the entrance and curtain time, and leave time to reach the theatre through the busy Midtown area.

The venue was formerly called the Helen Hayes Theatre and is now named the Hayes Theater. Broadway calendars and older articles may still use the historic name, so confirm that a listing is for the current Broadway production at this address.

Accessibility details

Broadway.com’s current venue guide describes an accessible entrance at the stage door, ramps in the lower lobby, a loop system, accessible seating in the Orchestra and Mezzanine, and an elevator. Access routes vary by seat and service, so consult the theatre’s latest information before booking.

Contact the venue in advance if you need wheelchair or transfer seating, hearing assistance, or help planning arrival. A seat map may indicate accessible seats but may not explain the complete route through the building.

Plan your visit

Review the current theatre policies for late seating, concessions, and entry. Broadway schedules can shift around holidays or special performances, so verify the time on your ticket close to the date.

See The Fantasticks tickets and schedule for the show’s current calendar and listings.
